Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, says he is going to have a new Chinese name.

World Peace recently signed a contract with the Chinese squad Sichuan Blue Whales.

World Peace is currently known as Ci Shiping in China, which is a literal translation of Metta World Peace, according to China Daily.

But he announced on Twitter this week that he’s going to change his Chinese name.

“New Chinese name coming soon. You guys are going to love it!!!!” he said.

Apparently that name is going to be Giant Panda. The giant panda is based in Sichuan province in southwest China, where the team is based.

AP sources: Cavs, Wolves set for Love-Wiggins deal

Two people with knowledge of the deal tell The Associated Press that Minnesota and Cleveland have agreed to a trade that will send All-Star forward Kevin Love to the Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first-round draft pick.

The two people spoke Thursday on condition of anonymity because no official agreement can be reached until Aug. 23, when Wiggins, this year’s No. 1 draft pick, becomes eligible to be traded.

The deal will unite Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in a new-look Big 3 in Cleveland. Love is a three-time All-Star but failed to make the playoffs in his first six seasons in Minnesota.
