Robert Metzinger has been arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat after posting tweets that referred to the Boston Marathon, a pressure cooker, and blowing up Busch Stadium, police said.

Metzinger posted multiple tweets that allegedly made implied threats.

In one tweet that was deleted but saved online, Metzinger allegedly said: “Putting my loft up for a ridiculous ”Boston-only“ rate for the #WorldSeries. Pressure cooker sold separately.”

In another tweet, he said that he would use an explosive in or near Busch Stadium during recent World Series games.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson told STL Today that there isn’t any evidence Metzinger went beyond making threats, but likened the threats to someone walking onto an airplane and making terrorist threats.

“I wasn’t going to take any chances with the safety of the fans and Major League Baseball,” Dotson said. “We follow through on threats like this all the time, but certainly everyone’s attention is heightened because of the World Series.”

He’s posted $11,000 bond and has been released, but has been ordered to undergo mental evaluation.

The terrorist threat charge is a misdemeanor.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on November 22.
