In the commercial, titled “My Remarkable Holiday Party,” Mr. Peanut holds a party at his place, with guests such as a mole, a grasshopper, a turtle, and a butterfly.

“Having him able to speak is bringing him to life as a personality, and people can engage with him more.” said Jason Levine, senior director for marketing at Planters, according to The New York Times.
Born in 1916, Mr. Peanut was created by Antonio Gentile, a 14-year-old schoolboy from Virginia whose sketch won Planters’s trademark contest, according the company’s official website. An artist added the dashing accessories after Antonio drew the peanut with a face, arms and legs.
