NEW YORK—The man accused of stabbing five people, including a toddler and his father, in Riverside Park earlier this month has been indicted, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., announced.

Julius Graham, 43, of the Bronx, is facing five counts of attempted murder in the first and second degrees, and multiple assault and attempted assault charges.

“Julius Graham is accused of embarking on a stabbing rampage on a peaceful autumn morning when hundreds of New Yorkers were out enjoying a public park,” said Vance in a statement. “He not only injured five people, including an 18-month-old child, but destroyed the sense of safety and respite that all New Yorkers have a right to feel in their city parks.”

According to court records, Graham allegedly attacked five people in Riverside Park near West 64th St. at around 8 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2013. He used two blades from a broken pair of scissors.

A bystander was able to overpower Graham and hold him until NYPD officers arrived.
