Richard Talley, CEO and founder of American Title Services in Centennial, Colorado was found dead after committing suicide.

His company, which was founded in 2001, is under investigation by state insurance regulators.

An agency spokesman couldn’t reveal to the Denver Post how long the investigation has been going on or what it’s primary focus is, other than Talley being the focus of the investigation.

Talley was found in his garage by a family member. He used a nail gun to commit suicide.

Talley had in the past formed a series of companies, some of them now defunct.

Although his wedding announcement back in 1989 claimed that he was a member of the U.S. Olympic swimming team, a spokeswoman told the Post that the claim isn’t true.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday.
