NEW YORK—A vigil was held Saturday in Brooklyn for Reverend Theauther Love, 87, who was hit by a police car while walking on Eastern Parkway Friday night. Love was taken to Brookdale University Hospital but died on the way. His friends and family attended the vigil. Police said there was no criminality involved in the incident, and the officer driving the vehicle passed a breathalyzer test. But the reverend’s son, Andrew Love, is demanding an investigation and suspects the driver was speeding. Love’s friend Van Johnson said he walked five to seven miles a day.
