Thomson Reuters Twitter account was suspended on July 29 after the Syrian Electronic Army, a pro-government group, hacked into the account and posted multiple drawings.

The hack started at 6:33 p.m. EDT and ended when the account was suspended sometime between 7:15 and 8:15 p.m.

The army has previously hacked into the Associated Press account, BBC Weather, and the Financial Times, among others.

The Syrian Electronic Army took credit for the hack after posting the drawings.
