TAIPEI, Taiwan—After seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company’s performance at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall on the evening of Feb. 24, retired Lieutenant General Kao Hai-Hsiang said: “The programs presented by Shen Yun are very touching. Through touring around the world, Shen Yun further glorifies the essence of the Chinese culture. Hopefully, Shen Yun may have the opportunity to perform in Mainland China some day, so that people in China are able to further understand the greatness of the Chinese culture.”

Lieutenant General Kao has studied in Germany and seen performing arts there. After seeing the Shen Yun performance, he said with praise: “This is an exceptionally wonderful performance with a very high level of artistic value. I truly enjoyed it. What Shen Yun manifests is the highest culture. I was very happy to learn of it in Vienna.”

“Those who created this kind of art and brought it into full play are indeed remarkable. They have presented the most precious culture of our Chinese nation [to the world]. I also saw Shen Yun in the United States. Now that Shen Yun is so popular the world over, I hope that Shen Yun can perform in Beijing, Shanghai and other metropolis in China in the future. China used to be a closed country, though it is gradually opening up. I hope that the head of China and the leadership at every level are able to open their minds, stop generating hatred, and strive for peace.”

In conclusion, Lieutenant General Kao stressed that he sincerely hoped Shen Yun can represent the Chinese culture in Mainland China so as to let people there understand the magnificence of the authentic Chinese culture.
