Jill Messick, a veteran Hollywood studio executive and producer, died in Los Angeles at the age of 50, her family told Deadline Hollywood and The Hollywood Reporter, adding that she took her own life.

Messick worked at Harvey Weinstein’s Miramax and at Paramount. She served as co-executive producer on the 1999 comedy “She’s All That” and worked on “Frida” as well as many other films.
