President Barack Obama and his family are currently moving their stuff from the White House to a home in Washington, D.C.’s Kalorama district.
Photos published by website TMZ and broadcaster WUSA-9 showed moving trucks and boxes, apparently containing the president’s items.
“They’ve got some art (no, not like the portrait of George Washington) and other stuff,” the website reported.
Obama’s last day in office is Friday, Jan. 20.
Obama and his family are headed to Palm Springs on Friday “so by the time they get back 2 weeks after the inauguration, everything should be in place,” TMZ reported.

It added in another article that the Obamas will “take a chopper” and it won’t be “be Marine One because he won’t be the active president when he boards.”
There are unconfirmed reports that the Obamas purchased a house in Rancho Mirage, located near Palm Springs, California.
Obama told CNN that his family will remain in Washington, D.C. for several years so his youngest daughter, Sasha, can complete her high school.
“We’re going to have to stay a couple of years in D.C. probably so Sasha can finish,” he said in March 2016. “Transferring someone in the middle of high school? Tough.”
