TAIPEI, Taiwan—”I was deeply shocked, deeply touched,” said renowned painter Chen Huomu after watching Shen Yun Performing Arts in Taipei on Feb. 24. Having been in the visual arts profession for 60 years, Mr. Chen expressed his pleasure to see Shen Yun passing on the divinely inspired culture of Chinese civilization.
“I love Shen Yun, I really do,” said Mr. Chen. “I’ve watched Shen Yun several times in the United States. I returned to Taiwan for my personal art exhibit at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in March, and, seeing that Shen Yun was arriving as well, I came to the show again.”
Mr. Chen expressed his high praise for Shen Yun’s years of hard work in recovering and promoting China’s 5,000 years of divinely inspired culture on an international scale. “Shen Yun’s show, from the dance, songs, music, and costumes, to the high-tech animated backdrops, demonstrates the highest level of artistic innovation and the deepest inner essence,” he said. “I loved it.”
Chen Huomu grew up in Taiwan and has been in the arts profession for over 60 years. He is a member of New York’s Art Association as well as the National Artist Association and China Artist Association. He was hired to paint the family portrait of King Hussein of Jordan as well as portraits of historical figures for the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei. Mr. Chen went to the United States in 1982 and has held various personal art exhibits in-county and internationally.
