TAIPEI, Taiwan—Greatly moved by the magnificence and beauty of Shen Yun five days ago, renowned painter Wang Ying-Te attended Shen Yun’s last show in Taipei again on Feb. 26.

“I feel very delighted and honored, as I have seen numerous shows around the world, especially many in Paris, Tokyo, and others,” said Mr. Wang, Secretary General at the Taiwan International Artists Association. “Yet none of them are better than Shen Yun! Besides, the show represents Chinese culture with the Chinese people. So I enjoyed it very much and felt quite refreshed.”

Mr. Wang, who mastered in oil painting and sculpture, praised Shen Yun. “Not only were the costumes and colors fascinating, but the digital backdrop were fabulous. The topnotch performers expressed the profound spiritual themes through culture and art,” he said. “The spirituality, that is, the sensation and enlightenment of the soul, made us feel as if we were amid heaven and a wonderland.”

He explicated further from a professionally aesthetic perspective. “One of the scenes, adopted from Mount Huangshan, and along with the architecture and clouds depicted in the backdrop, made people feel like they were in heaven. It also enlightened people that they would like to return to their homes in the heavens,” he said. “When seeing a Shen Yun performance, in fact, it’s as though we are already enjoying ourselves in a paradise.”

Mr. Wang also said that the music the stunning. “I felt my entire heart vibrating and beating hard!” He continued, “Shen Yun is culture and art, but it has ascended to the realm of spirituality. I give Shen Yun the highest score in history! All people in the world should come and enjoy seeing [Shen Yun].”

A Drama of Five Thousand Years Beyond Comparison

“[To present such artistic techniques, the producers] need to have extensive knowledge. The show not only combines humor, entertainment, and popularity, but also [brings the audience] traveling through history,” said Mr Wang, stressing, “Still, they have to blend ancient civilization and modern technology, Chinese and western cultures, and traditional Chinese and western instruments to produce the best artwork. Shen Yun is just beyond comparison!”

As a Christian, Mr. Wang said he was most impressed with the last program. “The program portrayed peace and [something like] the Final Verdict with ‘justice, kindness, and benevolence.’ It was tremendous!” he said. “Everyone has a conscience. Although people have different religions, all beings have their endings, and then a new hope will follow.”

“We are always waiting and questing,” he said. “We have to control and search for [the truth, virtue, and yearning like this] with our entire life.”

In the end, Mr. Wang paid his highest homage to Shen Yun Performing Arts by presenting a calligraphic work, “Dafa Shen Yun; Divine Artwork.” He explained the meaning of the night’s presentation: “The artistic presentation of Shen Yun is a unity of heaven and man. It was made by god and presented by gods, not human beings, in which the kind spirits, celestial beings, and human beings live altogether.”
