Reggie Bush’s new team is the Detroit Lions, it was reported Wednesday.

Reggie Bush agreed to a four-year deal with the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed amount, Bloomberg News reported.

“That’s one of the reasons I wanted to come here, to bring a balanced attack and take some of the pressure off Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson,” Bush said at a news conference, according to the news agency.

The Lions, a team that went 4-12 in the 2012 season, ranked 23rd out of 32 teams in rushing yardage. Detroit had to primarily rely on the arm of Stafford and the hands of Johnson, who shattered the NFL’s record for receiving yards in a season last year.

“It just made sense. It felt right from the beginning. ... They didn’t have to sell me on it,” Bush said Wednesday, according to the Detroit Free Press. “I was very nervous. I didn’t get any sleep last night. In all honesty, I was talking to the coaches.

He added: “I think I’m at the point in my career now where winning is the most important thing to me.”

Bush, who did stints with the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints, totaled 986 yards rushing and six touchdowns last year and 1,086 yards in 2011. He has also caught at least 50 passes over the last three seasons.
