London fashionistas, make a note in your diary for this Saturday, July 25th 12-4p.m. when the fifth “Buy My Wardrobe” recycled designer sale comes to Adam Street Members Club, The Strand.
Hailed as the “chicest recycling event in the UK”, the sale returns with rich pickings from designer labels such as Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Matthew Williamson, Chanel, Biba and Gucci.
Twenty carefully selected “wardrobe mistresses” open the contents of their closets to the public, to sell their unwanted but fabulous clothes. This year’s event sees nearly new garments, shoes and accessories being sold by mistresses that include Gucci Group Executive Mimma Viglezio, fashion designer Lynn Mackie, presenter/writer Giselle Morley, celeb stylist Zoe Lem and more.
To complete the look celebrity stylists and make-up artists are on hand, to offer personal consultations to guests. The Powder Lounge beauticians will also be offering eyelash extensions, threading, manicures and more.
There will also be a Revamp area with talks and demonstrations by fashion designers showing how to revamp old garments to create next season’s hot looks; how to add eyelets and sequins to old jeans and T-shirts or how to make funky shorts out of old jeans.
