Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks said that her divorce with incarcerated husband Apollo Nida is going ahead as planned.

Parks filed for divorce from Nida a few weeks ago--months after Nida was convicted and sentenced on fraud charges. He is to do eight years in prison.

But Nida made claims in an interview with InTouchWeekly that he and Parks will work on their relationship.

However, a source told RadarOnline on Thursday: “Phaedra and Apollo both have attorneys that are quietly working on reaching a divorce agreement and settlement right now. They want to dissolve the marriage amicably, and with as little drama as possible.”

“Ideally, once an agreement is reached, both parties will file for divorce at the same time in Georgia, and indicate it has been resolved,” the source also said. “There is no rush to get this done. Apollo is in jail and Phaedra has moved on. She is focused on being the best mother possible to their two young sons, Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 18 months.”

The two have been married for five years and have two children together.

Nida told InTouch, “Yes, we’ve had problems — especially over the last year — but we’ve gotten on terms now where I can call her and it’s cordial.”

A rep also told InTouch that the divorce will happen, saying: “While Phaedra and the boys [Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 18 months] do speak with Apollo regularly, there have been absolutely no discussions about reconciling.”
