To appear on “Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7,” star NeNe Leaks says she wants a raise.
“All of us deserve a raise,” she told Life and Style magazine a few days ago. “I haven’t asked for more money yet, but I damn sure plan to!”
Season 6 of “RHOA” was the top-rated show on Bravo.
“Everybody has been invited back, but I don’t know exactly what I’m doing. This past season was very dark and toxic; there was a lot of negativity. I just don’t want to work with so much negativity,” she said.
Last year, it was reported that Leakes was making $1 million to go with bonuses. “NeNe is the one viewers watch. She knows that, Bravo knows that and that’s why they gave her a raise,” a source told RadarOnline last year.
Leakes last month elaborated. “I’m happy to do some things,” she said, according to Fox News. “I don’t know if I’m happy to be a full time Housewife. I will still work for Bravo. We just need to work out some things.”
The 46-year-old added that she has “grown and I’m in a different place in my life. I personally don’t want to go to work every day where you have to be negative. When I wake up every morning and I go off to be negative it just feels like it spills over into my regular life. You become what you work.”
Leakes has been on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” along with “Dancing with the Stars,” while appearing as Roz Washington in “Glee.”
