Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks will stay with her husband Apollo Nida even though he’s been sentenced to eight years of prison.

Nida, 35, was sentenced after pleading guilty to federal fraud charges.

Nida was also ordered to pay restitution to victims of a $2.3 million scheme during his sentencing hearing in U.S. District Court in Atlanta. He pleaded guilty May 6 to conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud.

Prosecutors say Nida and co-conspirators since 2009 had stolen checks and used victims’ stolen identities to file fraudulent tax returns and fraudulent claims against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Authorities say the group laundered money by opening bank accounts in its victims’ names.

A source told Hollywood Life that Parks has decided to stay with Nida.

“Right now, she’s with him and that’s where things stand,” the source said. “That’s her husband and the father of her children and took her vows very seriously.”

Parks has hired a professional photographer to take pictures of Nida before he goes to jail so that his sons Ayden and Dylan can remember him while he’s in jail.

“She wants to capture that father-son dynamic so that her children will know that they have a father and that he’s very much a part of their lives,” the source said.

Season 7 of RHOA is slated to start later this year, likely in November.
