Ray Lewis says he will attempt to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in June to help raise money and awareness for an African clean water project.

“I am so FIRED UP for this adventure,” Lewis said of climbing the tallest mountain in Africa, located in Tanzania, according to his website. “But until then, I need your help to bring clean water wells to thousands of children and families.”

He dubbed the mountain climbing attempt “TackleKili.”

Lewis, who retired this season after spending his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens, is asking for donations to the clean water project via his website. People who register will get a chance to win a autographed Ravens helmet.

Mt. Kilimanjaro, located in northeastern Tanzania, is 19,341 feet tall.
