Racines NY, a Parisian neo-bistro, will open in Tribeca during the second week of March.

By omitting grandiose formalities, neo-bistro chefs aim to serve high class cuisine at affordable prices.

Racines’ executive chef is Frederic Duca, who was recently voted Chef of the Year 2013 by Gilles Pudlowski. Duca was also awarded a Michelin Star at L‘Instant d’Or in Paris.

Entrees include options such as scallops, beets, watercress, hazelnut butter; chicken cupreme, cider vinegar with scallions and coriander, Shitake mushrooms, and purée.

The restaurant’s website says wine is selected from vineyards that believe in minimum intervention. The vineyards use ancient methods of ploughing with horses, and no pesticides or herbicides are used in the process.
