Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to a website affiliate of the Chinese version of The Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. The statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.

The following is a selection of edited “Tuidang” (quitting the Party) statements made by Chinese nationals on Sept. 18–23.

Quitting the CCP and all of its Affiliated Organizations

Today, in the face of a society dominated by corruption and darkness, unprecedented loss of national territory, and never-before-seen ignorance and callousness by normal citizens when it comes to the value of life, I have come to see [the CCP’s] true colors. From this day forward, I shall quit all of its organizations and draw a line setting myself free. I will not be involved in any dirty politics anymore; I want to cleanse my soul. Today is also my birthday. I am going to celebrate my new life by quitting the CCP.

Quitting the CCP’s Youth League

Through understanding the facts, we came to realize why the CCP is doomed to destruction. Growing up in a nation where all information sources are blocked, we hardly have access to voices of democracy and freedom. Being informed of many things that most people are unaware of, we felt shocked. Taking a closer look at the happenings around us, we see the CCP’s real corruption and fake patriotism. We see the CCP’s shameless dictatorship. We see the CCP’s evil crackdown on Falun Gong and harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners, while they are still alive. We came to realize the facts. Therefore, we are determined to quit all of the CCP’s evil organizations. We quit the CCP’s Youth League. We are so lucky that we can break free of the CCP.

I Want to Quit the CCP’s Youth League and Young Pioneers

In my childhood, great suffering had been inflicted upon me since the CCP thought I was bad. For this reason, I had been in exile in the rural areas and unable to attend school. To survive in society, I had no other choice but to join the evil party. Today, I solemnly declare that I quit the CCP’s Youth League and Young Pioneers. Bidding farewell to darkness, I will walk toward my bright future.

Quitting the CCP’s Youth League and Young Pioneers

I did not realize the CCP’s evil nature until I learned about how it has been harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners, while they were alive. I solemnly declare that I quit the CCP’s Youth League and Young Pioneers.

Statement of Quitting the CCP and Its Young Pioneers

Encouraged by my schoolteachers, I joined the CCP and its Young Pioneers in my childhood. Not knowing the least of what the CCP was, I used to think that it represented China. Now I have come to better understand the CCP’s cruelty. Suffering inflicted on my grandparents, my parents, and family members of my own generation by the CCP woke me up from my illusions. Therefore, I declare here that I quit the CCP and its Young Pioneers.

Statement of Quitting the CCP and its Affiliated Organizations

We declare that we quit the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations. We are so happy about the chance to quit the evil organizations detested by everyone. Friends, if you haven’t quit the CCP, go ahead!

Quitting the CCP’s Young Pioneers and Youth League

I live in the suburbs of Shanghai. We think badly of the Chinese Communist Party, which suppressed the masses of Chinese people and committed organized crimes against its own people. Farmers have been fooled into giving up their farmland, along with their household registration records. The victims are banned from appealing for their rights. Those who made appeals were put behind bars. The communist regime committed wrongdoing, ignoring the nation’s laws and Heavenly laws. As victims of injustices, we have no way to appeal for our rights, feeling bitter. Today on my way to the Hongqiao International Airport, I was informed of how to quit the CCP. I sincerely quit the CCP and all of its organizations.

Quitting the Youth League

I became a member of the CCP’s Youth League in my school days on my teacher’s recommendation. I used to watch China’s state-run TV news programs daily, unaware of the CCP’s evil nature. Not until I read the Weibo posts did I find the gloomy side of the CCP, tactfully covered by their deceitful methods. It’s not too late to come to understand the facts. Now I declare that I quit the CCP.
