The quesarito--a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla--will be officially added to Taco Bell’s menu, the company stated on Thursday.
The new food item will be coming this Monday.
“We’re constantly hearing stories about two great things coming together to create something extraordinary and that takes on a life of its own,” Chris Brandt, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, stated in a news release, according to the LA Times.
The item was formerly only available at Chipotle if you asked.
Taco Bell attempted to test out the quesarito in Oklahoma City in February with good success.
Brandt said the item was the best-selling test market item since Doritos Locos Tacos.
The quesarito will likely cost $1.99 with seasoned beef, $2.79 with shredded chicken, and $2.99 with steak.
Nation’s Restaurant News reported that Taco Bell wants to “reinvent the burrito” with the quesarito. “It’s a killer product,” said Taco Bell President Brian Niccol. “It’s lighting it up.”
