Queens Man Killed in Forklift Accident

NEW YORK—A worker in New York City was crushed and killed in a freak accident involving a forklift, according to local reports on Thursday.

Officials told NY1 they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death at 2800 College Point Boulevard in Flushing, Queens, at 11 a.m.

The forklift support gave out and smashed the worker while he was repairing it, reported the New York Post. He was pinned underneath the machine.

The man’s identity was not formally released. He works at local businesses, and according to the Post, made repairs at the Raw Equipment Corp.

Police said that no criminality is suspected.
