NEW YORK—On a chilly Tuesday afternoon, The Epoch Times asked New Yorkers what are they looking forward to this spring. After the numerous snowstorms that hit the city this winter it was almost inevitable that locals agreed that it’s time for “no snow” and “warmer weather.” Looking beneath the surface however, many had other reasons for wanting spring to hurry up and arrive. The Epoch Times asks: What are you looking forward to this spring?

No snow. There’s all these other problems with spring, which is allergies that I’m not looking forward to but one thing you don’t have in the spring is snow. I guess the cherry blossoms that are going to be blooming in Brooklyn. The cherry blossoms can’t bloom in the snow, they have to bloom in good weather and that’s what spring would do.

Warmer weather. I get frostbite so I really have such a hard time with cold. I’m a dog walker so I enjoy my job much more in the summer and spring and in the winter it’s just harder for me to do my job because I ride a bike everywhere and I walk everywhere, and I find it tricky getting around. We have these new bike lanes but they haven’t figured out how to clear them of the ice and snow yet, they haven’t figured out how to get them clean. I love the spring, I love the flowers, even though I get hay fever I don’t care, I love it—love the spring.

Not being cold and warm weather. When the weather gets warm I like to go running, and I can’t do it when it’s below 30. I live in New Jersey so I like going down to the shore and running along the boardwalks.

I’m looking forward to the warmer weather obviously, and secondly I’m also looking forward to my husband continuing to progress, he had an accident in September so that would be very great. I’m looking forward to getting my kitty cat, I’m waiting and hopefully before spring I’ll get it.

Warm weather. I would like to be able to go running in the park when I would not be freezing. I feel like the winter came again it was just depressing, now it’s a little better because it’s actually sunny but it got so warm and then it got so cold.
