NEW YORK—New York Gov. David Paterson has had, by any accounting, a very tough time of it lately. Before being confronted by not one, but two ethics probes, his poll numbers had already dropped to abysmal depths. Two weeks ago he announced, despite the wishes of many Democrats, that he would run for re-election in the fall. Only one week later, he announced that he was stepping down from the campaign. Newspapers and politicians alike have said that it is not enough, and that he should resign from the governor’s office and allow Lt. Gov. Richard Ravitch to complete the term. The Epoch Times would like to know: Do you think Paterson should step down?
