NEW YORK—Cats and dogs have very different qualities. Dogs are known for being loyal and eager to please, and cats are independent and `cute.` Which characteristics appeal to you the most? The Epoch Times went out to ask New Yorkers: Are you a dog or a cat person? (Win McNamee/Getty Images)
Candace Komaud, 28, Manhattan, Marketing: I`m a dog person because they are always happy and are more fun than cats.
Ivi Ahuja, 35, Manhattan, Investment banker: Actually I`m getting a puppy this month. I like dogs because their energy is contagious, also they are loyal, and because they are man`s best friend.
Mindy Sond, 33, Manhattan, Legal assistant: I like kittens, just because they`re cute.
Oralee Branch, 40, Manhattan, Professor: I`m more of a dog person, but I own a cat because my lifestyle isn`t fit for a dog right now.
