Many people have been changing their profile pictures on Facebook and Twitter, along with other social media services, to purple profile pictures.
Mostly, people are just adding the color purple to their profile pictures.
The effort is in support of the American Cancer Society, and started ahead of February 4, which was World Cancer Day.
Over one million people have done it, according to Chevrolet, which has helped lead the effort.
