Meng Xiangji calls on people of the world to help stop the persecution of her mother and of Falun Dafa.

Meng Xiangji, from Beijing, is currently studying in the U.S. She disclosed that after three months in the Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp, her mother, Liu Guifu, had lost about 50 lbs and aged so much that Meng could hardly recognize her when she first visited her at the camp. Meng could see clusters of scars on both of her mother’s wrists. Liu Guifu told relatives that she was beaten by cellmates, who were drug offenders, allowed to sleep for only two hours a night, and injected with unknown drugs. This article is a follow up report on Meng Xiangji’s mother.

About the Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp

In the past, the CCP’s state-controlled media described the Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp as “a series of western-style pink-colored buildings, with warmly decorated dormitories, green lawns, red flowers, and a gymnasium with exercise equipment.” “Food menus are provided a week in advance, and even advanced special orders are allowed. Class B detainees may enjoy beauty treatments.” “One truly feels that a breath of humanity fills the facility behind the high walls…”

However, the media outside of China tell a very different story. Reports on the testimonies from mainland Falun Gong practitioners, Japan’s Yoko Kaneko, Germany's Xiong Wei, and Australia's Zeng Zheng have described the horrors that occur in the Beijing Woman’s Labor “Re-Education” Camp.

In the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong’s [1] report The Essential Crimes of the Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp it says: “Newly built in 2002, the dormitory building is like a palace in a fairy tale, with beautiful flowers and grass in the courtyard. However, all such blandishments cannot conceal the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners that is occurring. Since 1999, Jiang Zemin’s followers have imprisoned over one thousand Falun Gong practitioners at the facility. The frequent, high-intensity, and savage tortures they experience have caused the deaths and maiming of many Falun Gong practitioners.”

Force Feeding With Unknown Medication

An acquaintance of Liu Guifu’s indicated that many regard Liu as a beautiful woman, who became younger looking after practicing Falun Gong, even more so than is evident in the picture published in The Epoch Times. She was very healthy, and weighed approximately 154 lbs at the time of her arrest.

In the Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp, all communication with family is cut off for firm Falun Gong believers. After the Beijing police arrested Liu Guifu for the fourth time on the evening of February 28, 2005, her family was not allowed to visit her at the “Strictly Controlled Division” until August 16.

At the August 16 meeting, Liu Guifu said that the wounds on her body were caused by beatings by drug offenders, and that the police instigated the beatings. She was not allowed to make a sound during the beatings, as dirty cleaning rags were forced into her mouth to make sure she couldn’t scream. Each night, she was allowed only two hours of sleep – from midnight to 2:00 am, after which she was forced to stand perfectly still. She was starved every day; and was force-fed unknown medication, which caused dark vomit, dizziness, and nausea, followed by a very poor mental state.

Meng Xiangji, presently a junior at Purdue University, indicated that she was extremely distressed about the treatment of her mother. Her gentle-mannered stepfather, Liu Baoguo, was extremely angry when he heard that his wife had been force-fed unknown drugs. He questioned the “Strictly Controlled Division” policewoman, Song Lili, who was directly responsible for the persecution of Liu Guifu. Song responded that the drug was not toxic.

Song Lili closely monitored the entire visit. Meng Xiangji was continually interrupted when she asked her mother what had happened to her. Song, constantly reprimanded Liu, saying “Didn’t you say you would not talk? Why then, are you talking?” During the 20-minute meeting, Song talked for at least 10 minutes.

Meng Xiangji Hopes People Will Write, Call, or Offer Suggestions

Meng Xiangji indicated that, she sobbed and cried the whole night after hearing about the suffering of her mother. Now she is pleading to everyone, every organization, and all governments to reveal the CCP’s atrocities, and to stop the CCP from further harming her mother.

Meng Xiangji hopes people will phone Beijing, write to her mother, or send postcards. The mailing address is: Liu Guifu, Daxing Beijing Woman’s Forced Labor Camp, 2nd brigade, Beijing, People’s Republic of China, 102609.

[1] The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong was founded on January 20, 2003. Its mandate is to investigate the criminal conduct of all institutions, organizations, and individuals involved in the persecution of Falun Gong. To bring such investigations, no matter how long it takes, no matter how far and deep they have to search, to full closure, and to exercise the fundamental principles of humanity to restore and uphold justice in society.

Epoch Times reporter Lu Qingshuang’s interviews and in-depth reports on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forced-labor camps are internationally known and respected. Because of his reports, many organizations and governments have repeatedly requested that the CCP abolish the worlds only forced-labor camp system still using torture and brainwashing on the inmates.
