MADISON, Wis.—Dr. Michael Hart and his family were among the appreciative audience at Overture Center for the Arts on Thursday evening, April 5, catching Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company.

Invited by his son, Dr. Hart was accompanied by his wife and their great granddaughters. They intended to experience a lovely cultural event. This was achieved as New York-based Shen Yun’s mission is to bring 5,000 years of Chinese culture to the stage through music and dance.

Dr. Hart is an active Professor Emeritus of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also the executive editor of the Journal of Neuropathology & Experimental Neurology.

Mrs. Hart shared that it was a wonderful cultural experience to introduce the girls to. Both girls are taking “ballet lessons and they do play the violin, so music is important to our family,” Mrs. Hart said.

The girls explained that their mother plays the violin, and their aunt and uncle play the cello, and both girls said they enjoyed the music very much.

Shen Yun Performing Arts, based in New York, has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world, with a mission to revive traditional Chinese culture. Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company will next perform in Calgary, Canada, April 8-9.
