SYDNEY—New York based Shen Yun Performing Arts entranced the audience at the final Sydney performance, a full house, at the Capitol Theatre on Feb. 12.

Reverend Greg Stone, Australian President of the Universal Peace Federation, and Secretary General for the Oceania Region was there to experience the wonder of Shen Yun.

“It was excellent, refreshing, beautiful,” Rev. Stone said. “Very enjoyable.”

Spanning five thousand years of culture and bringing ancient legends, myths and contemporary stories to life on stage through music and dance was a memorable experience for Rev. Stone

“A new insight into the depth of the Chinese culture,” he said. “It’s something I haven’t seen before, but Shen Yun has been able to bring it to Australia and display it to the world, which is really refreshing.”

Classical Chinese dance is one of the most comprehensive dance forms in the world, being passed down for thousands of years in the imperial courts. The handmade, ornately decorated costumes made from the finest fabrics, add to the beauty of the dance.

“It was technically beautiful, [an]amazing performance,” he said.”Very, very beautiful.”

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive China’s divine culture and restore such beliefs as good is rewarded and evil is punished.

Rev. Stone believed this was “the most important thing.” He said “it was displaying a spirituality, you know, five thousand years of history, so I really enjoyed it very much.”

The Universal Peace Federation is a global network of individuals and organizations dedicated to building a world of peace in which everyone can live in freedom, harmony, cooperation, and prosperity, according to its website.
