President Obama’s Twitter and Campaign Emails Hacked: Syrian Electronic Army

President Barack Obama’s Twitter account and campaign emails account appear to have been hacked on Monday.

The pro-Syrian government group Syrian Electronic Army posted several tweets on Obama’s account, which direct people to a YouTube video about “Syria facing terrorism.”

“Thank you Obama for redirecting people to the #SEA website,” the army said via Twitter.

“We are watching you, Obama Bin Laden,” it added.

It appears that the army hacked into the link shortener service that the Twitter account uses, rather than the account itself.

The shortened links are directing people to sometimes the videos, and at others to sites affiliated with Obama.

Story developing; check back for updates.
