A viral post from the Diversity Chroncile blog saying “Pope Francis Condemns Racism ... Declares All Religions are True” isn’t a real thing and is satire.

On the blog, Pope Francis at the Third Vatican Council claims that “all religions are true” and all religions, including “Muslims, Hindus and African Animists” all worship the same thing.

“The Third Vatican Council, is undoubtedly the largest and most important since the Second Vatican Council was concluded in 1962. Pope Francis convened the new council to “finally finish the work of the Second Vatican Council.” While some traditionalists and conservative reactionaries on the far right have decried these efforts, they have delighted progressives around the world,” the article reads.

The article has been shared more than 10,000 times on Facebook.

The Diversity Chronicle, according to its disclaimer, is satirical. “The original content on this blog is largely satirical,” it reads. “It is in the spirit of the above quote that I write. Who am I you may ask? My name is Erik Thorson. I created this blog for my own personal amusement,” it later states.

There has not been a “Third Vatican Council.” The Second Vatican Council was the last one, and it was held frome 1962 to 1965.

The Diversity Chronicle post has been reposted on other websites.
