Police Search for Missing Child of Man Who Jumped Off Bridge

Police have issued a silver alert for a 7-month-old boy who may have been with his father when the man jumped from a Connecticut bridge

MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—Police have issued a silver alert for a 7-month-old boy who may have been with his father when the man jumped from a Connecticut bridge.

Police were searching the Connecticut River between Middletown and Portland for the child Monday. Police say 22-year-old Tony Morano, of Middletown, called someone about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, saying he would jump from the Arrigoni Bridge. That person contacted police and said a baby could be heard in the background.
