Police Say 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Newburgh Shooting

NEWBURGH, N.Y.—Police in Newburgh are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and three others injured.

It happened early Sunday morning at 253 South William Street. The building houses the Temple of Praise Church of God and a social club.

Police say four people sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital.

It wasn’t clear what sparked the shooting. No other information was immediately available.
