Police Officers Are Racing Teens to Prove a Point

Police officers in Sacramento, California, came up with an original idea to prevent people from engaging in illegal drag racing.

They’re offering programs where they actually race kids at the Sonoma Speedway.

That way, they get a feel for what it’s like to race, while facing off against a cop. “This easily gives a place for teenagers to get off the streets,” one officer said.

“Better than street racing,” one of the kids said.
