Officers have arrested a man in connection with a June homicide in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, police said on Sept. 13.
On June 4, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of Oakdale Avenue around 11:10 a.m. There, they found 26-year-old Jevon Cael suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
After an investigation, officers were able to identify San Francisco resident Cleavon Foster, 37, as a suspect. On Sept. 9, officers with the Sacramento Police Department located Foster and arrested him on an outstanding homicide warrant, according to police.
Foster was booked on suspicion of murder, police said.
According to jail records, Foster was also arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, having a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of a firearm with prior conviction and possession of the firearm on school grounds.
