A man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography is the subject of a manhunt in Grove City, Ohio.

Steven Sloter, 35, has been under investigation since 2011 and authorities obtained a search warrant this week for his home.

However, when they went to the Clayburn Drive residence, he wasn’t home, and subsequent attempts to locate him have failed.

Sloter has a warrant for his arrest on charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, reported NBC4.

In 2011, Sloter was charged with one count of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, reported Fox28. He pleaded guilty to one count of endangering children, and served four years in prison.

“In early January, Mr. Sloter reappeared on our radar for trading child pornography in the Franklin County area. A search warrant was executed on Mr. Sloter’s residence yesterday evening by Franklin County ICAC detectives and evidence of child pornography was located on his computer,” Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott said in a statement.

“We are reaching out [to] the public for their assistance in getting this perpetrator off our streets and in custody.”

Anyone with information is urged to call the office at 614-525-3333.
