A missing Pennsylvania teen who fell prey to sex traffickers has likely been handed off to pimps and ferried out of New York, reports the Daily News.
Police say Corinna Slusser is most probably still alive, information her family has been desperate to hear since the 19-year-old went missing on Sept. 20.
“(Detectives) believe that she is out of New York State,” a high-ranking NYPD source with knowledge of the case reportedly said, according to Daily News. “They are trying to determine her whereabouts.”

Investigators searching for the missing teen alarmed that Slusser had been moved from where she was living in Harlem or possibly even killed after she filed assault charges against a man relatives say she called “her Daddy”. The man is believed to be a pimp who lured her to New York from her Pennsylvania hometown of Bloomsburg.
“There is no indication she is subject to foul play,” an undisclosed source allegedly said, according to Daily News, but added that this is merely a likely scenario–far from certain.
Members of the NYPD’s Vice Human Trafficking Team believe she has been shuttled between several different pimps since she vanished, says Daily News, adding that she had been mentioned in a number of vice investigations in recent weeks.
Relatives of the missing girl say she left Pennsylvania in March to be with her pimp. But then in August she filed an assault complaint against the man, alleging he choked and beat her.
The 32-year-old assailant had been arrested numerous times for promoting prostitution. Authorities are withholding his name because he may be in possession of information critical in the case.
Slusser’s last know whereabouts are the Maven Motel in Queens on Sept. 20, reports YourTango. About a week prior, her family contacted the police to report her as missing when she didn’t attend her grandfather’s funeral in Florida.
Fervently active on social media, Slusser’s last know post is on Instagram on Sept. 10. The location of the photograph that she posted is the Bronx, New York.
Slusser’s relatives are desperate to find her.
“I can’t bear any more days like this,” the missing teen’s mother wrote on Facebook. “I fear the worst, but I pray for the best and her to return home. [I’m] waiting for an angel to hear my prayer.”
Corinna Slusser is described by police as a white female with blonde hair, blue eyes, weighing 140 lbs. and approximately 5-feet-6-inches tall, with a large black tattoo in the middle of her chest.
