A police department in Texas came up with a novel way to teach a motorist a lesson on how to properly park.
A Dodge Ram truck was over the line at a parking space located next to a handicap spot in Southlake, Texas.
In a Facebook post, the department wrote: “We try to avoid snark and sass (we REALLY do), but sometimes our fair citizens make it hard.”

“Please stay in the lines when you park ESPECIALLY if it’s next to a handicapped spot or you might be the recipient of one of our new fliers,” it said.
The officer was photographed placing the flier on the windshield wipers of the truck.
“We noticed you had a little trouble staying in the lines when you parked next to a handicapped space … Maybe if you practice coloring our patch and staying in the lines here, it could help you avoid citations in the future?” the flier asks, which includes a black-and-white picture of the department’s badge.
It’s not clear if the officer gave the driver a ticket.
“Let this graphic be an attention-grabbing example so we don’t have to end up going to FedEx Kinko’s and making like thousands of copies of these,” the department also stated.

In California, officials issued a stark yet humorous warning to drivers after firefighters broke the windows of a car and ran a hose through the vehicle.
Photos posted by the Anaheim Fire and Rescue showed a hose going through the car that was illegally parked in front of a hydrant.
“Ever wonder what happens when a car is parked in front of a fire hydrant and a fire breaks out? Is a closer parking spot worth the broken windows and the citation and towing fees?” asked the office.

It then urged residents not to park in fire lanes.
Anaheim police retweeted the photos and told drivers that red curbs exist for a reason.
No other details were released about the incident.
Fine Over License Mud
Drivers who don’t wash their vehicles properly could be hit with a fine to the tune of hundreds of dollars in Australia.
Police in New South Wales warned motorists in March that they could face a nearly $450 charge and three penalty points if their license plates aren’t displayed in a clean and clear manner.

The police force stated on Facebook: “Not washing your car properly- $448 and 3 points. Don’t wash your car and neglect your number plate. Remover (sic) the cover.”
It drew heavy backlash from commenters.
