Zavi Ahmed, like most kids, says some things that sound a bit crazy sometimes.

He told his mom before they left their house for a shopping trip that he had to wear his Batman costume because he’s a superhero.

Turns out he was right.

Police couldn’t free a toddler trapped in a scorching car, so Zavi volunteered to help.

The one-year-old girl Iris Adamski became stuck she accidentally locked the doors while the keys were inside while her grandma was loading the vehicle.

Officers were able to smash the rear window but none were small enough to fit through the opening. That’s when Zavi came up and offered to help. He crawled inside and and unlocked the car, handing the keys over.

“It really was a case of Batman to the rescue,” John Penny, the grandfather of Iris, told the Daily Mirror.

“Iris is so happy to be saved by Batman–if she gets married that will definitely be told at her wedding,” added his wife Caroline.

Zavi himself told the Daily Mail: “I always feel like a superhero but that day was special.”
