‘Pippi Longstocking’ arrest: Tami Erin, the star of “The New Adventures Pippi Longstocking” film in 1988, was booked on assault charges on Thursday after a neighbor placed her under citizen’s arrest.

TMZ reported that Erin allegedly beat up her roommate in northern California.

A police officer in Walnut Creek, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Erin was placed under citizen’s arrest by a neighbor. The neighbor heard Erin arguing with a male roommate, who called for help, the website said.

The neighbor then came to the man’s rescue and put her under arrest. She was released from police custody on Friday morning after she was arrested, according to TMZ.

The victim had no visible signs of injury.

Erin, 38, began modeling and acting at the age of 8 years old, doing commercials for Cheerios, Equal, Nestle, and other companies.

She most recently appeared in “Tim & Eric’s Awesome Christmas Special” in 2010 and in the movie “Disconnect” in the same year.
