A pig determined to change her destiny has experienced an extraordinary journey. A Facebook post by the Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, MD tells her story - “This adorable little piglet jumped out of a truck and fell hard on the asphalt on the side of Rt.15 in Pennsylvania.”
While others ignored the piglet, now named Charlotte, one family noticed her lying motionless and picked her up. According to the post, “Unconscious but still breathing, little Charlotte had a temperature of 107 when she arrived at the Adams County SPCA, and she had wounds on her head, legs and chest where she had hit the pavement...Initially she could not eat or drink on her own, but with lots of TLC she has now recovered.”
Charlotte will permanently reside at the Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary.
