China's high unemployment rate has been the focal point of many reports. Last year, British Economist magazine pointed out that the official unemployment rate published by the Chinese authorities is quite different from the actual figure. The unofficial statistical data show that even in urban areas the unemployment rate may be higher than 10%. Because the employment market has reached the saturation point, jobs are extremely scarce.
