In Nashville, flooding covered the downtown streets and sidewalks on May 3, 2010, in the Lower Broad district, as well as in other parts of the city. More than 13 inches of rainfall fell over two days over Nashville, more than doubling the previous record of 6.68 inches and leaving at least 10 dead and thousands displaced.
