Hummus World Record: Hummus World Record: To earn the Guinness Book of World Records distinction of the largest serving of hummus concocted in our planetary system, more than 300 cooks were brought in to East Beirut, Lebanon, to make a bowl of hummus so massive that it needed to be made in a satellite dish with assistance of a robotic arm.

Over 300 Lebanese cooks simultaneously got down to business to make thousands of small tubs of hummus last Saturday. The tubs were then mixed together by a machine to make the world’s largest plate of hummus. The serving size was estimated to be just under 12 tons, or just over 23,500 pounds (10,500 kilograms) of chick pea deliciousness.
