May 18, 2010 Updated: May 18, 2010

New York City's Hudson River Park opened two new sections Monday, with New York State Gov. David Paterson on hand to cut the ribbon.

With the opening of the new expansive areas, Hudson River Park becomes the largest open space in Manhattan next to Central Park. A full nine acres of additional space includes a skate park, a carousel, a large open lawn, and a public garden. Enjoy The Epoch Times original photo report on the opening!
