Recent rains in Phoenix on Sunday caused some flooding, according to reports and accounts on Twitter.

A report from ABC-15 in Arizona said that some roadways were flooded, posting a photo on Twitter of cars trying to pass through around a foot of water.

“Wow ... It rained in Phoenix! Haha! (Yes, there’s actual water on the ground.),” tweeted out Phoenix resident Kathy Cline.

Erik Pindrock with Accuweather.com tweeted: “Phoenix picked up 0.88” of rain late this AM. Both may get more rain today.”

The National Weather Service said a flood warning remains in effect for central Pima county until 1:30 pm.
