Philly weather will stay cold on Tuesday, with snow expected as well.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning from 6 a.m. through 5 p.m., earning of “heavy snowfall” over the course of the day.
Besides Philadelphia, the warning includes counties adjacent to the Interstate 95 corridor in northeast Maryland, as well as southeast Pennsylvania and southwest New Jersey.
Between three and five inches of snow is projected to fall, beginning around dawn and lasting into the afternoon.
“The snow will taper by dusk,” the service said.
Travel during Tuesday will be impacted by the snow. Temperatures will fall below freezing late Tuesday and last for a few days.
