The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office was raided by the FBI on Thursday, it was reported.
ABC-6 reported that agents are investigating the operations of the office.
Sheriff’s Department spokesman Joe Blake told the station that the department was served with a subpoena at around 9 a.m.
Agents left the office with files and other records.
There were no arrests made. The Sheriff’s Department is said to be cooperating.
“So I’m at the office and in comes the FBI. They locked the doors unplugged my computer and separated everyone. I was able to take my cell phone with me and I’m currently being quarantined for what reason I do not know,” wrote a department employee on their Facebook, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The office has been under scrutiny, as the Journal points out, after John Green resigned. Green’s operations were allegedly plagued by insider dealing.
