Dealing with sub-freezing temperatures, residents in the Midwest have come up a strange new trend.
A number of people have posted photos of frozen pants standing upright in public places. The trend was apparently started by Minnesota man Tom Grotting, who posted his frozen trousers on his Instagram page.

“It was just on us for weeks on end so I took advantage of the Polar Vortex and froze some pants,” he told ABC News. He added, “All over Northeast Minneapolis, people are freezing their pants. There is no end in sight.”

Grotting soaks the pants with water before hanging them outside and sculpts them as they freeze. It takes less than 30 minutes.
And apparently, it has spread to Ohio.
