A flash flood warning was issued for western Pennsylvania, including much of the Pittsburgh region, on Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the alert for Southeastern Columbiana County in Ohio as well as Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County, southern Beaver County, northern Washington County, and Hancock County in West Virginia.
The agency said that heavy rainfall was triggered by a series of thunderstorms.
Another half-inch to three quarters of an inch are possible to fall. Some areas with flooding that were reported include Saw Mill Run, Baldwin, Clariton, and Dormont.
The flash flood warning was issued until 11:15 a.m.
On Twitter, users posted photos of flooded areas, including a Park and Ride in South Park. User Cstick247 wrote that “multiple homes and businesses [were] under water.”
In Allegheny County, CBS Pittsburgh posted a photo of a fire truck wading through several feet of water.
